Steel name: 0.037C-0.61Si-0.68Nb
Diagram No.: 3807
Type of diagram: TTP
Chemical composition in weight %: 0.037% C, 0.61% Si, 0.68% Nb.
Note: TTP diagram from Powell et al. In their alloy (0.68Nb, 0.037C, 0.61Si wt%), G-Phase forms
between 500 and 850 C, first on residual grain boundary particles of NbC, and only after very long
ageing on NbC particles in the matrix. The authors propose that this is due to the easier diffusion
of required elements in the grain boundaries.
