2-1/4Cr-1% Mo Steel
  Steel name: 2-1/4Cr-1% Mo Steel
  Diagram No.: 2824
  Type of diagram: TTP
  Chemical composition in weight %: 0.15% C, 0.50% Mn, 0.18% Si, 0.018% P, 0.012% S,
  0.165% Ni, 2.12% Cr, 0.94% Mo, 0.077% Cu 0.009% Sn.
Note: Precipitation diagram. Precipitation during aging (tempering). Austenitizing
temperature: 960oC (1760oF) for 2 h. Diagram showing the sequence of carbide
formation on tempering the quenched steel. Treatmnet: After austenitizing, half the
specimens were cooled at 300oC (570oF) per hour to room temperature, and the
remainder were quenched in oil. Tempering treatments were carried out in a lead bath
  at 400, 500 and 600oC (740, 930 and 1110oF) and in an electric air furnace at 650,
  700 and 750oC (1220, 1290 and 1380oF). See the diagram No. 2825 and No. 2824.
